The Robotic PELT system utilizes the same proven high resolution PELT ultrasonic technology used by the industry standard hand-held coating thickness gauges. With the patented air-bearing PELT End of Arm Tool, measurement data can be collected along both flat and convex surfaces. The non-destructive ultrasound technology enables measurements to be made on production vehicles.

Non-destructive measurements eliminate the need for specially prepared samples or destructive analysis.
Fully automatic multi-layer thickness measurements on any substrate material.
Sensor automatically aligns to the painted surface to provide reliable measurements.
Sensor only applies 6 N of force, enabling measurements to be made on plastic surfaces that might otherwise deform.
Appearance and color measurement devices can be added to the robots, enabling thickness, appearance, and color measurements from a single measurement cell.
Systems can be configured with one, two, or more robots.
